Laboratory measurements

For the development of new products and the validation of the definitions of our technical solutions

Based on the specifications provided by our clients, or those we have developed in collaboration with them, we implement a series of tests and measurements in the laboratory to assist them in physically qualifying their system in relation to its environment.
Using proven methods and high-performance, tailored testing tools, we perform measurements that enable us to design customized damping solutions or validate the settings and characteristics of our technical solutions.
The goal is to observe a correlation between the calculations made beforehand and the results obtained during the laboratory tests.

I conduct laboratory tests to simulate extreme or specific conditions and assess the performance of our equipment. I ensure the strength and reliability of our prototypes.

FAQ

What testing equipment does Socitec have for laboratory measurements?

For the development of new products, expertise, and recipes, we have several different testing methods:

A 150 kN static test press and a 10 kN dynamic hydraulic actuator, for measuring dynamic characterization and fatigue;
A drop test area, suitable for measuring the performance of containers and packaging;
A mobile 12-channel data acquisition system, used for shock and vibration measurement and modal analysis;
Shock, pressure, temperature, and humidity recorders, dedicated to monitoring the transport of fragile equipment;
A 22 kN vibration shaker, in partnership with ESTACA, for vibration and shock testing

Are all measurements performed by Socitec carried out in an in-house laboratory?

A large part of the measurements we perform are done directly in our laboratories, but we also work with European partners who provide their laboratories to validate our damping solutions and to create rapid prototypes

What tests and measurements are performed in the laboratory?

In addition to measuring the impact of shocks and vibrations on systems and equipment through the shaker unit, we also evaluate the dynamic characterization and fatigue of the devices, and perform modal analysis. We also conduct shock and vibration tests tailored to the machine to be protected, as well as its overall condition.
